The world stops spinning as I pick up the microphone, the curtains remain closed, everlastingly.
My voice sounds from the stage, my opinions and ideas for all to hear.
Timidly, I sat in the back of the class, hand never reaching above my shoulders to answer the questions
I knew by heart, to give my passionate view on political and social matters.
I was silenced by fears of judgement, of failure, and fear of myself. I trapped my thoughts inside of my racing mind, isolating who I am.
